We are honoured to invite you to a literary evening with Adriana Altaras on Thursday, 15 September at 8pm. This is the continuation of a successful collaboration of the Stari Grad Museum and Goethe-Institut in Zagreb.
Stari Grad is the last station of the literary journey with Adriana Altaras. After Zagreb and Split, in Stari Grad she will present her novels “Tito’s Glasses” in which the events of her artistic life in Berlin are intertwined with the unusual history of her family, and “Doitscha” in which she writes about the tragicomic conflicts of identity and religion, the unusual commemorations, the premature farewells and the power of memories. Moderator of the literary evening is Seid Serdarević.
Adriana Altaras was born in 1960 in Zagreb. She lived in Italy from 1964, and later in Germany. She studied acting in Berlin and New York, starred in film and television, and since the nineties staged theatre performances and operas. She received numerous prizes, including the Federal Film Award, a theatre award from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Silver Bear for acting. Adriana Altaras lives with her family in Berlin. She carries a brown belt in karate.
