Stari Grad Museum is pleased to invite you to the presentation of the book Od kuharice do književnosti, ogledi o kulinarskoj prozi (engl. “From cookbook to literature, essays on the culinary prose”) by dr.sc. Jelena Ivanišević.
Gastronomic-literary event will take place on Friday, 2 November at 6pm in the bistro Kod Damira, Stjepan Radić Square 5 in Stari Grad.

Dr.sc. Jelena Ivanišević, from the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research in Zagreb deals with the dietary culture within her ethnological and anthropological research, exploring culinary prose, traditional cuisine, and food history, contemporary food practices on the island of Hvar, city markets and social significance of the Mediterranean diet.
Along the author, the book will be presented by dr.sc. Tihana Rubić from the Department for Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science in Zagreb and Igor pl. Živanović, the author of the Lexicon of gastronomy and vinery.
