We invite you to the opening of the exhibition Stari Grad during World War I (1914 – 1918) and the Italian occupation (1918 – 1921) – records of time on Wednesday, 20 August at 9pm in the Juraj Plančić gallery of Stari Grad Museum. The exhibition will run until 20 September.
The exhibition is the result of several years of research and collection of photo material and documents from World War I. The research was conducted by curators of Stari Grad Museum Vilma Stojković and Aldo Čavić and dr.sc. Mladen Domazet, a professor at the Department of History, Faculty of Philosophy in Split, who are also the authors of the exhibition. The authors of soundtrack are Ksenija Ladić and Maja Žarković.
The exhibition presents only a selection of the collected material, the part which illustrates everyday island town during First World War and post-war Italian occupation. With this exhibition Stari Grad Museum participates in the National Programme of the Celebration of the Centenary of the First World War.
